Representative Matters
- Directed a 130+ trademark and 30+ design portfolio as in-house lead trademark counsel: led the full lifecycle of trademark protection and prosecution across Ukraine, the EU (EUIPO), the U.S. (USPTO), and through the Madrid System.
- Advised on trademark clearance, licensing, and brand-related agreements, including trademark due diligence in connection with licensing arrangements and business transactions.
- Achieved 100% pre-litigation resolution of third-party trademark infringement claims: built trademark enforcement and monitoring systems for a major logistics and technology company that resolved every third-party claim without litigation.
Anna helps emerging and growth-stage brands build and protect their identity in the U.S. and international markets, bringing a rare cross-border perspective from her work across Ukrainian, EU, and U.S. trademark systems.
Trademark Prosecution & Brand Protection
Anna handles U.S. and international trademark prosecution, clearance opinions, and portfolio management for clients ranging from individual founders to established companies. She has particular experience with TTAB matters, including oppositions and cancellations, and advises clients on enforcement strategy, domain disputes, and UDRP proceedings.
Cross-Border & In-House Perspective
Before turning to private practice, Anna served as lead trademark counsel for one of Ukraine's largest logistics and technology companies, where she directed the company's entire trademark, design, and copyright portfolio and negotiated dozens of IP and technology agreements each year. After relocating to the United States, she gained additional experience supporting a law firm's intellectual property practice with cross-border trademark filings through EUIPO and the Madrid System, followed by hands-on exposure to USPTO trademark examination procedure and correspondence with examining attorneys. That combined in-house and U.S. law firm experience gives her a practical, business-first approach to brand protection.
Anna is currently pursuing an MBA at the University of Pittsburgh's Katz Graduate School of Business and is a frequent guest lecturer on trademark and brand protection issues for founders and startups, including at Carnegie Mellon University's Tepper School of Business.
