KellDann’s Kirk A. Sigmon was shortlisted in the Rising Stars of Legal Tech category at the 2026 Legal Geek Leaders in Tech Law Awards, presented by Law.com and Legal Geek. The awards took place this week in London.
The shortlisting recognized Kirk’s development of PatentAgility and TrademarkAgility, free online AI/ML/LLM-based tools he coded to address practical challenges in intellectual property law. Among other things, the tools help users analyze patent prosecution data, check patent claims, search trademarks, and perform many other tasks. Competing vendors routinely charge thousands of dollars per month for identical services.
The project began during Kirk’s master’s studies at Dartmouth’s Thayer School of Engineering and have been refined as part of Kirk’s fellowship with MIT’s Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (“CSAIL”).
