On June 21, 2024, Ross Dannenberg and colleagues presented at Tsinghua University Law School in Beijing, China. Ross and Hengyi spoke at length about patent and copyright developments in the US regarding the use and protection of artificial intelligence technologies provided insights in how two recent design patent law cases from US courts will impact design patent practice in the United States.
Professor Ge Jiang of Tsinghua University Law School hosted the event, including the presentation as well as a panel discussion and Q&A session. The audience included law students, graduate students, in-house and private practice lawyers from around Beijing multiple patent examiners from the China Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA).
